Auntie Jessie

Jessie must have been about 60 or so when Cousin Julie and I would visit her. This was about 1956 to 1957. Yes, I must get those dates right or as close enough as I can.

Jessie was visually handicapped, and she couldn’t hear either – a result of some childhood illness. Measles maybe? Back then there were no vaccines.

Mother had much older sisters and, I think, brothers. Something like 20 years difference and this would put Jessie’s birth in the 19th century.

I have some wonderful stories to tell of her, and I will.
